I am using a few tri blend markers for this bird image.

Start by using your LIGHT marker over all the background. I left belly white for a different color.

Next I used my Darkest side of the marker to highlight some areas. Not a lot!

Use the MEDIUM shade of that same marker and draw all over in small circles right up against dark.

Use the LIGHT end again and draw using small circular strokes over the whole area.

Create same 4 steps with belly color.

Adding foot color (just one shade), and adding same brown color in medium to some wing areas.

Use your lite blue over the brown in wings to blend. Add gray to branch (3 shades) and eye.
