Today we are going to talk about MEDITATION. Starting your practice, restarting, get back at it.

Time + Space. You need 10 minutes where no one will bother you.

Find a place where you can be COMFORTABLE.

Figure out what you want to do with your body. What position is comfortable for YOU.

Close your eyes. Inhale + Exhale through the nose. Hand to ribs or belly - feel the breath expand.

Focus on how the breath feels inside your nose, in your ribs, in your belly.

1st Problem: You’re going to get bored. Your brain is not used to stillness + quiet.

You’re not in trouble if your mind wanders. Come back to your breath. Feel your breath in your ribs

As ideas drift in to distract you, acknowledge then + envision putting them in a bubble + float off

Leveling up: Specific Meditations to try.

Inviting my spirit back into my body. “Hey, come home. I love you. It’s safe here.”

Breathe in a way that delights your spirit (or central nervous system)

Last one - my favorite! A Loving Kindness Meditation. 3 Blessings. 3 People. Repeat until you shine.

Reasons we get stuck with meditation. It’s kind of boring until it’s amazing. Tactics: use music.

Make a deal with yourself - “You only have to sit for 7 minutes, then you can stop”.

Meditation is the gift we give ourselves - but you’ve got to push through for at least a week.
