Roughly chop the onions.

Add 1 tblsp olive oil and the onions on medium-high heat to caramelize them, about 10-15 minutes.

When the onions are translucent and caramelized, add the butternut squash.

Break up the roasted butternut squash.

Pour the broth and let it simmer.

Add salt, to your liking.

Add 1 tsp of ground ginger.

Add 1 tsp nutmeg.

Add 1 tblsp maple syrup.

Add black pepper, to your liking.

Blend up all the ingredients together and done!
