Alcohol, Cups And Palette
Put 5-10 drops of color in the wells of the palette . Use a couple of small cups to hold alcohol.
1
I like to start with a wash of blue. Use alcohol to spread and dilute the color.
2
After a couple of minutes the ink will spread out and settle.
3
After blotting my brush, I add magenta. Drips of alcohol create nice effects.
4
Dilute the yellow well at first. Drop it here and there, blend where you like what's happening.
5
Break up heavy areas of ink by tapping with the brush, pausing to blot regularly.
6
I like to go in with Sharpies to add detail. Try a scattering of metallic!
7
Layer tiny dots in a random pattern. Think about photos of galaxies. Pastels fill in clear spots.
8
Use a template or punch to cut out your shapes. Punch the center hole.
9
Key tip: color the edges before shrinking.
10
Add more detail, if you want.
11
Use a heat gun and your favorite Shrinkets mold to shape them.
12
If you have one that seems too dark, take a moment before shrinking the rest.
13
Some alcohol on a cotton swab will do the trick. It works on the shrunk one too.
14
Ink up or ink down in the mold? Experiment and have fun!
16
Don't like your results? No Problem! Alcohol Inks are endlessly removable.
