What you’ll need

White school glue
Orange Crepe Paper
Scissors
Pen or pencil
Gold or Brown Crepe Paper
Ribbon or Twine
Ruler
Masking Tape
White Tissue Paper
Make a triangle template that has two 6” sides and one 5” side.
1
Trace two triangles on a piece of poster board and cut.
2
Cut two long 2” strips of poster board.
3
Make fringe! Start with an arm’s length of crepe paper streamer.
4
Fold in half. Then again and again until you have a piece about 3-4” long. Cut in half lengthwise.
5
Cut fringe about 3/4 of the way up. Unfold after cutting.
6
Put tabs of masking tape on one triangle.
7
This part is the hardest! Tape the 2” strip to the triangle.
8
You will probably need more than one strip!
9
Tape open seam edges.
10
Repeat the process for the other side.
11
You did it! Tape a looped piece of ribbon or twine to the “back” side.
12
Glue orange fringe to the top of your pie. Layer from the tip to the “crust.”
13
Glue orange fringe to the sides. Layer from bottom up.
14
Repeat this process for your gold or brown “crust” fringe. I trim the edges once dry.
15
Repeat on the back. I like to add a one row to the top for a clean edge.
16
Top with a dollop of tissue paper whipped cream! Sooooo festive!
