What you’ll need
If your throw blanket is not square, fold one corner in and cut to make a perfect square
Fold the square in half, then again in half to make a smaller square
Cut a semicircle in the corner where there are no open edges. This is where the tree will come out.
Trim the outermost edge of the square to make a curved, semicircle shape
Unfold the skirt and trim to perfect the shape if needed
(Optional) Finish off the raw edges using a serger or zig zag stitch
Pin down your trim on the outer circle, right sides together
Top stitch the trim down
Finish off the edge with the trim using a serger or zig zag stitch
(Optional) Cut a slit through the skirt, and add buttons to make it easier to get the skirt on!
