Create a paper pattern to fit your cash and cards: two main body pieces and two card pockets.
1
Cut up leather with a ruler and rotary cutter. The outer layer is longer so they fold up evenly.
2
Use a skivver to shave down the thickness of the the edges to be sewn.
3
Use double-stick tape to attach the pockets to the inner body. Cut grooves for stitching.
4
Follow the groove with your stitching chisel, hammering holes you’ll see through next.
5
Cut two long lengths of waxed thread, and use two needles at a time to saddle stitch the open edges.
6
Tape and punch the short ends, then pick up the strings to sew down the sides and across the bottom.
7
Reinforce the card pocket edge stitches, then tie off and glue knots inside the wallet.
8
To keep its shape, fill the wallet then use clips to train it for a few days.
