Layered Zucchini Béchamel

I diced two Medium size onions

Finely chopped three cloves of garlic

For flavour and heat, I chopped half a hot pepper

Sautéed my diced onions in veg oil.

When onions are half done add your ground beef - about 1.3 pounds/ half a Kg and your minced garlic

When fully cooked, add 2 tblspns tomato paste, 1/2 tspn chilli paste (optional)

Add salt, seven spice & black pepper.The garlic, onions & green pepper already give good flavour

+ 1.5 cup of water- leave to simmer.

Chop a bunch of parsley

Once sauce thickens & everything is cooked, turn off the heat & add your parsley-Meat sauce complete

Make 1.5 cups of plain basmati rice

Prepare seasoned+baked zucchini

I seasoned with Italiano blend, salt, ground coriander powder, 7 spice,crushed hot pepper &olive oil

Placed on a baking sheet and baked for 10 minutes at 400.

Final step:Béchamel sauce-1/4 stick of butter, 3 TBSPN overfilled flour & 3 cups of milk- whisk away

Season: salt, black pepper, maggi chicken cube (optional)

Assemble: rice + baked zucchini + meat sauce + mozzarella

Repeat. Final layer Béchamel & cheese

Bake in the oven at 400’ for 15 minutes
