Why I do my own braids...
Practice makes perfect...
Jumbos are a good short-term protective style...
Day before-Wash hair. Part whole head into 4 lg sections, then start parting into smaller sections.
For every braid parting moisturize hair and oil roots, comb thoroughly, tie with tiny rubber band.
Take as much hair as you think you’ll need for desired braids size. Use same amount for every braid.
After you’ve pulled the tips, create 3 equal strands with the hair like shown. Detangle as needed.
Hold hair at the knot tightly, keeping the 3 strands separated, then start braiding with your hair.
Here, I’m splitting my natural hair at the root into the 3 parts to match the 3 strands and braiding
Repeat braiding steps. My two front halves were 5 braids, two back halves were 6 braids each.
Dip the ends of your hair in hot water when finished. Be careful.Get help with this step if you can!
Hold ends of braid tips in towel or t-shirt for 10-15 minutes, then add fun accessories!
Last step, flourish young grasshopper!!!
