How toHow to Take a Moving & Flying Photo
15 steps
Find the location you want. Set up a tripod (necessary). Use a stool that is about hip height.
1
Take a photo of the location (using tripod). The scene should not have the stool in the frame.
2
Now, with the same framing, take a photo with you laying on the stool. I also used extra lighting!
3
To change the color of my dress, I then use Photoshop’s ‘quick selection’ tool to select my dress
4
To unselect any areas I don’t want to change the color of, I hit ‘option’ and drag up to ideal area
5
To change the color of selection, click the ‘hue’ button on right-hand menu. Toggle hue for color!
6
Drag “plain” photo on top of flying one in PS. Unlock flying photo & put plain photo on bottom layer
7
Bottom layer is plain photo (with matched coloring and lighting). Above is the flying photo with me!
8
All layers remain visible. Click eraser tool. Opacity and flow are at 100%
9
Select layer with you in it. Use the eraser tool to remove unwanted objects & reveal bottom layer
10
Save finished photo & send to your phone to begin adding movement!
11
Download the app Pixaloop to your phone and upload your image.
12
Use ‘anchor’ (white dots) to hold down areas of the photo. I anchored the edge of my dress.
13
To add movement, hit ‘path’. Draw arrows the direction you want movement added.
14
To add some magic light, I clicked ‘element’ and found some lights to overlay. I paid to save in 4k!
