Vintage Key
Buy
Salt

Chain

Hydrogen Peroxide
Vinegar
Gather your ingredients.

Pour just enough vinegar to cover the vintage key. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Pour an amount of hydrogen peroxide equal to the amount of vinegar onto the key.

Pour enough salt into the mixture to cover the key.

Let key sit in mixture for a few hours or a few days depending on how much patina you want.

When you are happy with the look, dry off the key.

Different metals will give different patinas. To keep the patina you like, use a spray sealant.

Add a chain to your rusted key.
