Start with unscrewing the hardware. I store them in a ziplock until I am ready to put them back.
Then lightly sand the piece with Dixie Belle sanding sponge- 220 grit.
Moving in the direction of the wood grain.
Then clean the piece with white lightning. Mix it with water, spray and wipe.
I pulled the drawers out and gave it a nice cleaning from inside too
If you have any dents or missing veneer then use Dixie mud to fill those. Let it dry and sand.
Once prepped, I started painting it in BOSS, which is a white primer, to prevent any bleeds.
It’s a water based primer, so I used Dixie Belle flat brush to apply it.
I then painted the piece in three coats of cotton, using water to reduce brush marks.
Once the paint dried, I then lightly sanded the piece with a 220 grit to get a smooth finish.
I used the tack cloth to wipe off the sanded residue. It is sticky so the residue sticks to it.
And leaves the furniture clean and ready to be sealed.
Then I sealed the piece with Dixie Belle satin top coat.
I then sealed the drawers with Big Mumma’s Butta. It’s a scented wax to rejuvenate, deodorize
replenish old wood.
And here are these Nightstands painted in Dixie Belle Cotton, a pure white.
I added transfers on the sides of the drawers for a sweet surprise. And sealed in big mumma butta
