What you’ll need
Half inch piece
1 pod or 1 teaspoon ground
Sugar To Taste
Add a mugs-worth of water to a pot and get it boiling (no need to be too exact with measurements!)
While boiling, infuse the water with a few slices of ginger and a cardamom pod (powder will do!)
Add a heaping spoon of tea (I use a brand called Wagh Bakri but any loose leaf black tea will do)
After 3 minutes, add a quarter mugs-worth of warm milk to the tea.
Pour the mixture through a strainer and enjoy! Add sugar to taste - I prefer about a spoon per cup.
