For Design #1, roll out your fondant... as thin as you can get it while still able to work with it.

Cut out your “scales”. You may need to experiment with how many you need based on egg size.

If desired, gently clean up edges of the scales with a small straight edge.

Layer your scales to create a sheet. When it’s large enough, use the egg cutter to cut it to shape!

Apply thick royal icing to cookie base as glue for the fondant scale piece, leaving the top exposed.

For design #2, use a “rock” fondant mold for texture! Use water for “glue” this time.

Airbrush centers of your eggs with main color (get it into the crevices).

Airbrush the sides with a darker color, immediately apply DiamonDust for best adherence. Let dry.

When dry, add final shading details with elite color powders for dimension.
