How toMake A Patch Work Pillow Case

Cut 16 pieces of 5.5” by 5.5” fabrics of your choice.

Decide on the layout.

Join the fabrics by sewing row by row.

Give it a 1/4” allowance when sewing the fabrics together.

Now join the rows of fabrics together. Right side with right side.

..by pinning the rows of fabric to the next row, making sure the seams align.

Same thing, sew with 1/4” allowance.

Now, join the 2 rows to 2 rows of fabrics together.

Give the joined fabrics a quick iron to flatten the seams.

Add the inner lining to the patch work fabric. Wrong side against wrong side.

Pin the inner lining to the patch work fabric to secure it before sewing.

Sew on both sides of the seams to make the over all look nicer.

For the back of case, cut 20”by 16” fabric and lining. Sew one side together.

Flip inside out and give it a quick iron.

Sew one side 1/4” allowance to give it a nicer look.

Sew the sides and bottom of fabric on 1/2” allowance.

Cut 20” by 8” fabric and lining for the back and repeat the steps.

Lay the final piece of back fabric right side with right side and sew the top and sides.

Use a zigzag scissors to trim the sides.

Trim the corners close to the stitch. Careful not to cut too much.

Time to flip inside out.

Use a chopstick or pointy enough to push the corners out.

This is optional, but I love to add buttons to my pillow case.

Fill in the cushion and you are done!
