13 steps
What you’ll need
Assorted Colors And Patterns Of Fabric Ribbon
Thick Elastic Hair Tie
Ruler
Double Threaded Needle
Scissors
Lighter
Measure out how long you want your hairpiece to hang (I chose 10”), double that
1
Lay out your ribbons in the order you want them to sit on top of each other (thickest to thinnest)
2
Weave in and out of each ribbon with the double thread
3
As you thread they should bunch together like this
4
After threading ribbons, wrap the center with thread many times and push the needle back through
5
Pierce your needle through a hair tie and continue looping thread around tie and ribbons
6
To knot your thread slide it through the loop to make it extra secure
7
Knot several times and trim excess
8
Take an extra strip of ribbon and cover the thread
9
Knot it and tie into a bow
10
If any of your ribbon has wired edges, you can wrap it around your finger or a marker for twirl
11
Trim all edges at angles
12
Seal fabric seams with a lighter - do NOT use on plastic ribbon, it will burn
