Embroidery Needle, Size 5
Embroidery Thread, I Like DMC
Take some embroidery floss, maybe 12 inches or so and snip.
1
Pull the 6 strands in half so you have two pieces of floss each with 3 strands of thread.
2
Take one side with the 3 strands and thread your needle. Then tie the ends together.
3
Pull your thread right with one hand, and push the needle slightly against it.
4
Wrap around 2-3 times. Continue pulling tight. Keeping your thread tight is key in French Knots.
5
While pulling tight, push your needle into a new hole right beside the entry point and pull through.
6
Here it is all together. This time I just wrapped it twice.
7
Continue until you’re amazing at it. It takes practice!
