What you’ll need
Light Switch Cover
Polycrylic Clear Gloss
Rustoleum Clear Spray
Newspaper or Paper Towels
True Control Knife
Remove the cover from the wall or from the package if new, REMOVE SCREWS, and wipe with alcohol.
Apply Polycrylic to coat and let the excess drip off. Learn from my mistakes: remove the screws!
Glitter. Tap off excess and let dry.
Apply a second coat of Polycrylic and glitter if necessary.
Seal with Rustoleum clear spray. Let dry. (Photo is post spray and dry. I don’t spray indoors.)
Optional: apply epoxy. Allow to cure for 12-24 hrs depending on brand. Keep screws out!
Place the cover in a tray to catch dripping over popsicle sticks so it will be easier to remove.
Repeat epoxy if necessary. I used 2 coats. CAREFULLY remove from tray with True Control Knife.
File edges smooth with nail file or sanding block & wipe with alcohol to remove excess dust.
Apply clear coat nail polish to bring back the shine from sanding along the edges.
Install & enjoy! (I had to remove all the glitter & epoxy from my screws to install.)
