Take the painters tape and get your first straight line. Press it firmly leaving no air bubbles.
Take a small piece of tape and put it next to the first line for precise spacing.
Starting from the top, pull the tape down for the second stripe until the end.
Take out the piece of tape and put it next to the second line for another stripe.
Like this and keep repeating until you get all the stripes.
You will get straight lines like this.
When you reach the end, cut the tape off with the scissor leaving margin to peel the tape off.
Like this, so that even if the paint is wet you can still hold the tape and peel off easily.
And here are the stripes. No more leeks and no more peeling paint.
Hope you enjoyed the video. This piece is painted in Dixie Belle Cotton and Driftwood.
Few more stripes but in a geometric look. Video coming soon.
