Weigh 150g golden caster sugar into another bowl.

Add the sugar and 1/4tsp table salt into flour and mix.

Weigh 150g Cold butter in to bowl. Cut into small cubes.

Add the butter into the dry ingredients and rub together until it looks like breadcrumbs

Crack the egg into the bowl, then add 1tsp vanilla and beat toegther

Add egg mix to bowl, mix until it comes together in smooth dough. Wrap in cling film chill for 30min

Roll out (£1 coin thick) cut your shapes. Onto tray, fridge 15 mins, bake at 160c for 16-18 mins

Once completely cool decorate. You can use a roll out icing and cut icing with the biscuit cutter.
