What you’ll need
Light tan felt
Small bowl or plate
Pen or pencil
Light pink felt
Polyfil or batting
Light tan thread
Hot glue gun and glue
Puff paint (assorted colors)
Use a small bowl or plate to create a template on a sheet of paper. My bowl has a 4.5” diameter.
Fold your circle template in half. Fold it again. Cut out the point to make your donut hole.
Trace your donut template on a sheet of paper. This will become your icing template.
Draw out an icing outline and cut this template.
Trace donuts on light tan felt and cut.
Trace icing and cut. I’m making 1 chocolate and 1 strawberry.
Add puff paint sprinkles and set aside to dry for an hour.
Glue around the donut hole edge. Once dry, pull the bottom half through.
Pin the edges.
Double thread a sewing needle. Start the knot on the inside of the donut and stitch a bar.
Blanket stitch half of your donut.
Fill the stitched half with Polyfil or cotton batting.
Stitch another quarter of your donut. Fill with stuffing. Secure with a pin and finish stitching.
Tie a knot and bury the tail. You might need to redistribute your filling.
Glue your icing. I like to do the center first and then work the edges.
