What you’ll need
Fabric (any kind, I like linen!)
Chalk Pencil (optional but recommended)
Place your fabric in the embroidery hoop: don’t forget to make it nice and taut!
Cut a length of your thread with the scissors and then thread your needle (securing it with a knot).
If using a pencil, draw a curved line to follow.
Stitch a curved line, following the marking you created. (This is backstitch)
Next, weave your working thread under each stitch you’ve created. This is “whipping” the backstitch.
To make the leaves, you’ll create five straight stitches that meet at a point.
Repeat as desired!
Secure your stitches with a knot at the end, and snip any excess thread!
