Place eggs in a pot of cold water.
Room temperature eggs cook more evenly.
Turn heat to medium high.
Bring eggs to a full boil then turn off heat.
Turn off the heat, cover the pot and set a timer for 14 minutes.
It’s go time!
Remove eggs from pot.
Place eggs in an ice bath for 5 minutes.
Remove hard boiled eggs from the ice bath.
Use eggs that are at least 1 week and even better 2 weeks old so they peel easily.
Peeled hard boiled eggs will stay fresh in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to 1 week.
Don’t throw those shells down the garbage disposal. They can damage it.
