DIY Fabric Gift Bags

What you’ll need

10” x 20” Piece Of Fabric
1 roll
Ribbon (I used 3/8” but you can use any size if you account for it in the encasing)
Basic Sewing Supplies

Cut fabric out at 20”x 10” or desired size

Fold long edges in to wrong side by 1/4”. Iron in place. Fold again another 1/4”. Iron.

Fold short edge under 1/4” to wrong side. Iron. Fold down again at 5/8” or more depending on ribbon.

Stitch both short sides down close to folded edge.

Fold fabric in half, right sides together, match up edges and pin.

Stitch down long edges, starting right below the stitching of the encasing.

Turn bag right sides out.

Using a safety pin, thread elastic through encasing, until both ends are on one side.

Fill bag with treats or gifts, pull ribbon tight and tie.
