What you’ll need
2 sticks
Unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
2 teaspoons
Vanilla Extract
2 cups
Sugar

Eggs
4 cups
Flour

Baking Powder
Blend together two sticks of room temperature butter and two cups of sugar until creamy.

Scrape down sides and slowly blend in two eggs.

Blend in one teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Slowly blend in dry mixture of four cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and one teaspoon baking powder.

Remove dough, divide into two portions, create disks, and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate.

After refrigerating for at least one hour, Roll out each disk to 1/4 inch thick.

Use cookie cutters to cut out your cookies! You can re-roll the left over dough one or two times.

Transfer cookies to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Put pre-baked cookies in the freezer for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Bake each tray of cookies for approximately 15 minutes. Remove when barely brown on edges.

Carefully transfer baked cookies to a rack to cool before decorating.

Decorate cookies with a simple icing made of confectioners sugar and water. And sprinkles!
