Add your ginger and garlic
Cook until slightly crisp and charred

Stir on medium-low heat
Until the spices are blended in properly.
Pour in your vegetable broth and bring to a boil
Stir in your Basmati Rice
If you’ve never tried making Jollof Rice with Basmati, you’ll love it, though it can be challenging
We traditionally don’t use Basmati Rice but I love trying new things
Add your Fresh Thyme.
Cover and simmer.
Cover with a piece of foil. Simmer on low for 30-40mins.
