How To: Wine Bottle Cake
Start off my using round cookie cutters to cut out the bottle - the neck & the body.
I used 4 large circles for the body and two for the neck.
Start assembling the cake by adding buttercream to the cake board as “glue”. Then place the cake.
Crumb coat this section and place onto the fridge to cool it down!
I added black fondant at the bottom to adjust the height of the neck of the bottle.
Crumb coat this section and place a strip of fondant to add detail of the cap!
Cover the whole bottle in fondant and get ready with equal parts Vodka and Corn Syrup (I used 1 tsp)
Mix this up and start adding get gloss to the cake! Adds a really nice “glass” looking finish
Get whichever wine or bottle decoration and enjoy!
