DIY Free People-Inspired Thermal Top
Take your shirt and measure how much sleeve you wish to cut
Cut the measured amount of sleeve off each arm
Cut the trimmed sleeves at the seam, and unfold them
Using the trimmings as a pattern, cut new sleeves, making sure to leave 1/4 inch seam allowance.
Hem the bottom of the new sleeves where your hands will be- it’s much easier to hem them now!
Now take your new sleeves, fold them in half matching right sides together, and sew!
Flip your shirt inside out, and insert each new sleeve (right side out) into the cut sleeve opening
Sew around the sleeve, making sure to NOT just sew straight across through 4 layers- sew around!
Flip the shirt back to the right side, and you’re done!
